Theme Overview

Imagine being able to soar like an eagle above mountains, slither like a snake on the desert sands, ride volcanic eruptions from ocean depths, or dam up rivers like beavers.  In this theme students will learn vocabulary for mountains, rivers, volcanoes, deserts, oceans and more.  In our opening routine children learn to speak about their feelings and learn how to ask others about their emotions. Students will also be able to recognize different geological features found in Latin American countries. Our immersion model helps them with their comprehension through written and oral expression, and cultural competency through thematic stories, songs, crafts, and kinesthetic activities.
